For over 15 years I've spent some of my free time dabbling in photography. During hard times as a singer in college, I often went back to my roots as a wayward, artsy teenager by taking dramatic portraits of my friends. This turned into a successful small side business, taking head shots for fellow broke musicians. Someone once called me a "mezzographer;" I was able to shoot my way through grad school and today I am lucky to still have my side hustle as a creative outlet.
My photographs try to reveal small curiosities in the world. I love patterns, texture, and the play between sharp and blurry. My portraits capture the inner light and the energy of the subject and I hope this idea translates to your eyes. I love making performers shine on camera as much as they do on stage. Please give me an excuse to pick up my camera again. If you are interested in working together, whether you're a fellow musician in need of new 'shots or if you'd like to collaborate on another project, let me know. |
